Barcelona is a Spanish city dating from Roman time. Whilst mainly Modernist in style especially along Gran Via, it has a Gothic / Medieval Quarter and common in Spain large Place / Piazzas. Has many grand boulevards and car free walking areas.
Popular with northern europeans for its balmy weather and beaches. Famous for its modernist buildings and especially those of Gaudi including Sagrida Familia Cathedral.
